Oldest bar in Oklahoma

Anyone ever heard of or been to Eischens Bar in Pkarche Oklahoma? Established in 1896, its the omdest in Oklahoma. They are famous for their fried chicken. If you go on a weekend bee prepared to wait as people from the OKC metro flock there to eat.

Thanks for posting this, that's a new one to me. Eischen's Bar looks like a definite must do when in that area.

Their Famous Visitors list is conspicuously missing the names Stern, Strutz, Pils, and many many more.

I hope you have a better experience at Tucker's than I did. I was very underwhelmed by their onion burger. The patty was under-seasoned and I didn't like the bun. I had one recently at another OKC chain (yes, Tucker's is a chain) called The Garage and it was much better.

I wouldn't consider 4 shops only in OKC a chain.  I checked the original location of Tucker's on yelp and with 4.5 stars it seems you are in the minority. On the other hand I went to Robert's Grill in El Reno back in 2010 and found their burger to be a dried out, overcooked disappointment. I visited Nic's Grill in OKC 4 years later and loved it. I may skip Oklahoma in it's entirety and continue on to Little Rock with a stop before hand at The Catfish Hole in Alma of course

It's strange how we can have such polar opposite experiences.  On my two visit's to Robert's, I thought it was the best of the El Reno onion burger restaurants.  No doubt in places so small, it really depends on who is cooking that day.

My only visit to Robert's Grill was on  a Sunday, It was the only onion burger joint in El Reno opened on a Sunday
I recall I got there shortly after they opened, I also recall I was the only customer in the restaurant the entire time I was there and most importantly that it took an insanely long time for the cook to prepare my burger.

I had to look back at my trip report for the specifics and here it is .

Since this was my first onion burger experience I just figured that they are traditionally served beyond well done and chalked it up to a regional specialty I didn't care for, however when I visited Nic's Grill  in OKC4 years later it was a totally different (almost life changing experience)
BTW I had a very enjoyable onion burger at Tucker's on Sunday. It's not Nic's but still a very solid, juicy, flavorful double burger which I enhanced by topping it with grilled jalapeno's. Since I was planning to devour catfish in Arkansas within the next few hours I didn't finish the entire burger.

So do you consider this a success or a failure?

Weird
Sometimes it's there and sometimes I get the "dreaded x"
Obviously a success if it's still there!

When I sign into google the photos is there, when I'm not signed in, its not
I like the photo shop aspect of google photos but there is no way to embed photos onto a website, there is another website that will embed the photo as shown above but the photo is a little smaller than I'd like. I see that flickr now has photo shop again after months without it. I think I'll just go back to flickr and see  if I like the new photo shop tool.
