You refer to Austin as becoming "unlivable".  Care to elaborate?  I've never set foot inside the great state of Texas, so I have no way of knowing if this will trigger a rant (hopefully not).

"San Antonio is rapidly growing and the little barrios are being buffed and polished for the arrivistes from Tacoma and Cedar Rapids."

Sounds like a place where a skilled purveyor of the breaded pork tenderloin might wish to spend the sunset years.

I'm guessing the gentry disapproves of The Econoline.

And speaking of such, I for one would like to know the back story.  Are we talking vintage '60s commercial model?  Something from the '70s with Cragars, a galloping horses mural and a waterbed?  Or even an Ironside Special, complete with the ghosts of Don Mitchell in the driver's seat and Don Galloway riding shotgun?

I’m not sure who’s moving from Tacoma to SA. Cedar Rapids to Texas I can understand.

Unlivable as in staggeringly bad traffic with no plan in place for better roadways. The traffic is the result of 150 people per day moving to Austin for over a decade.

The Econoline is a 1989 model with the 302 motor. Blue velour interior and a nice bed in the back for sleeping on long hauls. It's been in my family for over 20 years and only has 140k miles on it.

Traffic is getting horrible around San Antonio with all sorts of people moving here from elsewhere, especially IH35 North  at rush hour  with people going home.Think half the US is moving to Texas.
Austin is getting very expensive that's all I know.

We've had lots of friends move from Austin to San Antonio over the last decade.
