I carry it here, Chocolate and Yellow, my wife makes it at home, I know, not supposed to, too bad! I sell out of it every few days. It is sweet but not cloyingly so. We usually put Vanilla Ice Cream on it, with Caramel sauce, Customers rave about it, others say, it sounds too sweet, and don't try it. I don't have a sweet tooth, but I really like it!

This butter cake is different things to different people in different areas - they never had flavors of butter cake in Philadelphia. Just butter cake! Of course you do have to put some vanilla in it. And yes, it is quite sweet, quite gooey, and I want some!

Sounds heavenly to me.  I want a huge slab right now.

Some members of my family ordered some at Chubby's on Sunday.  He served it with ice cream.  I do not care for sweets, but tasted a bit of it and , with the ice cream, it was really good!

Thank you for the recipe! I'm going to have to give it a try. Until recently I never heard of this dessert.
