The thing looks like a big pot with a fire ring around the bottom. At $150 -$175, no thanks.   I can (& DO) the same thing with a $10 graniteware roaster on the charcoal/wood grill.  ... At grill temp of 225 deg F, my cooking times to falling apart (personally I like slicing meat) is faster than that listed by the Orion cooker and the meat is very juicy.    I use for turkey, pork butts, and 'prime rib roast' plus I have all of the drippings.

I too use graniteware, I have two different size roasters with lids.  I have never thought to put them on the grill.  I'll have to try that this summer!

Grill your roast, turkey, or chicken for about 1 hr with indirect heat with smoke at about 180 - 210 deg F.  This will give it smoke and color.  Then put it in the covered roaster with may be 1/2 cup of water until done to your liking.  .... You could quick sear on thick pork chops, then put them in the roaster with slow heat (herbs & spices ?) until tender & done.    ... Serve a crowd or one hungry Hubby easy!

... For the past couple of years for Turkey Day & Christmas, I bring two turkeys inside and put into a large electric roaster after smoking on the grill for 1 hr.    Set the temp for about 180 deg, then go to bed.   Done the next morning and you don't have to baby sit a grill/smoker all night!

I was already thinking of doing a chicken that way!  Turkey is usually Thanksgiving and stuffed and I'm too busy to fuss with the grill so it goes into the oven.  I often spatchcock a chicken and put it on the grill......or Cornish game hens........but once in awhile in the summer I get tired of grilled food and want a roasted chicken.  I will try that in one of my graniteware pans.  With smoke!
