P30 food truck frame rust/rot

My 1989 p30 frame has quite a bit of rust, holes, rot etc. Two questions. 1. If you have had this issue, what did you do? 2. If I were to replace the chassis, where would I even begin to look for one. Or what do you suggest...thank you!

Replace the chassis, as in the frame under the van body? I'm a noob at the food truck stuff (trying to start a small coffee / donut biz) but my day job is a mechanic. You are looking at an obscene amount of money to do that. If you can find a mechanic with good welding skills, or better yet maybe a welder by trade, you may be able to get your frame patched up nice and strong, if the damage isn't catastrophic. I suspect you'd be better off financially trying to buy a rust free unit (eBay?) And putting your equipment in it vs replacing the whole frame.
