    There are more than a few grim looking characters partaking of this Mardi Gras celebration.  Some of the masks and costumes display less of a partying attitude and more of a menacing tone.  To the untrained eye, some of them even stir up ugly thoughts of white supremacy.  I'm assuming (hoping) I'm way off base and seeing something that isn't there.  Is there some history or theme they're following that is unfamiliar to non-natives?

    Medieval France is the base for the oufits, with a healthy dose of Cajun humor

    Don't know exactly when it will be, but believe me, anytime we're heading down your way, I'll be in touch.  We'll need a personal culinary guide to get us to all the right places.  Can you spare a couple of weeks?
