Patsy's in Phoenix
I was in Phoenix last week and couldn't get into Pizzeria Bianco due to poor planning and it being a Friday evening so I went over to the Patsy's on 4000 Scottsdale rd. The place was packed with families but they served up pretty good pie pretty fast. Never been to the Patsy's in NYC but I'd bet they are happy with the Phoenix product. The crust was thin as you would expect. Charred on the bottom with some blowouts on top. Crusty on the outside and chewy on the inside. Good stuff. The sauce was just OK. The cheese was fresh mozz and just the right amount. Too much fresh mozz and you get the soggy pie. Dusted with parmesan when it came out of the coal fired oven. The italian sausage was good as were the mushrooms. I ate an 18" pie by myself. No way I could do that with a Dominos/P-Hut/ Papa Johns due to the heaviness of the crust and toppings. Patsy's was light, hot, and damn good. 2 toppings for $20. I'd do it again in a minute.
