I'd like to see it the first weekend in May. A lot of other stuff going on in June.

I second the first weekend in May. Every get together that I have seen planned here has always had the best attendance by staying away from the summer months. I like the idea of choosing a particular weekend and penciling it in every year.

I just want all of you to know this.  Our fearless leader buffetbuster is not in search of pie this weekend or green chile cheeseburgers........he's staying in the 'Burgh to scope out places for the Crawl!!!

Buddy, glad those dates work for you and Mrs. Roadhouse.

That will most likely work for us too. We'll be coming in from Amish Country visiting Sandra's relatives (two ex- Pittsburghers) and  we'll probably join everyone for one of the two  headline days- Either Friday or Saturday- most likely Friday as we may take a trip down to Charleston WV before heading home

Unfortunately a long-standing commitment will rule us out for a 4/28-5/1 crawl, but Pittsburgh is still very much on our list of future baseball-oriented trips.

Be sure to visit Joe Fazio's Italian restaurant on Bullit Street in Charleston. It's regionally appropriate as West Virginia has a good size Italian population. And then there's the original Shoney's, first opened by Alex Schoenbaum

What on earth is a Drake Relay?  And how could you possibly resist a Pittsburgh Crawl??

The Relays are America's Athletic Classic, one of the oldest collegiate track and field events in the country.  Ironically, there've been many years when the Drake Relays and the Penn Relays have been held on the same weekend, so I'm familiar with the Keystone State trying to mess with my life.

I know the Northern part of the state is, but I think the Southern part of the state is about as Italian as

It's too bad the Southern Kitchen in Kanawha City is gone. But chicken and dumplings? A treat for someone from Southern New England.

My friend( and Bob's Aunt Bonnie-whom WJ met at our Milw. fish fry prior to the Chicago crawl) are talking about driving to Pittsburgh. She knows how much I love you people, and she thought Dale was a great guy...go figure. Now that I am gainfully employed, we are saving our pennies for the trip. Hope I can make it happen!!
Besides, with Joe Rogo's hotel magic, cheap hotels are a given!

I would be up for a baseball game also. You have a beautiful park and I would love to see Anthony Rizzo knock a longball into the Allegheny in person.

Looks like we want to at least have access to section 143 because they have Rita's. <3 <3 <3
