Odd,  I thought they are $59.

That BUT WAIT....  is never free.  Shipping and handling makes sure they are paid for everything.

There is also a bamboo As Seen on TV pillow being aired.  I don't know the cost of that one.

I am confused on the pricing of My Pillow.  On their TV ads they promote it at $19.95 and if you CALL NOW and use the TV promo code you get a second one free.  Yet when you go to their website they're $89.97!!!  I don't have a problem paying that for a good pillow.......but what's the difference?

The price varies by size.
They always run a 2 for 1 'special'; I'd advise you 'Google' "My Pillow promotions" or "My Pillow coupons".

Let us know how she likes the pillow.

Here is a product that I always have on hand and it's wonderful.  It makes the best, best gravy........especially for meatloaf where there are really no pan drippings, just fat.  I caramelize onions in butter, add a little flour that I brown, add some of this terrific beef base and water.  Fantastic gravy.  I also add it into beef barley soup, pot roast, beef stew, etc.  Better than browning bones, boiling them, etc., plus I have no space to store stock.  This stuff is wonderful.  I also have their ham base, chicken base and lobster base.

I use the Better than Bouillon Chicken and Beef base which are just as good as you say.

BUT...  I threw out the ham base because a tiny bit ruined an entire pot of split pea soup.  Phony very smoky porky!

OH!  I've also used their clam base when I used to make Cioppino for my mother.

Great stuff!

I only use the ham base when I make ham and bean soup.  The ham bone doesn't have much flavor and even though I put left over baked ham in it......it needs "something".  A half tsp. of ham base does it.

One time I bought the Better Than Bouillon beef base and didn't read the label carefully.........it was Low Sodium and disgusting.  I threw it away after making a gravy that just didn't taste right.  It was nasty.  Now I watch the labels very carefully!

I like the Chicken and Beef also...I have NEVER found a Ham base that if not careful, would overtake a dish.

You do have to use it SPARINGLY but it has never overtaken my ham and bean soup.  When using ANY base I always go light..........I can add more but if you add too much you're pretty much just going to have to add a lot of water to get rid of the salt.......then you have watery soup or gravy.

Never have used the Better Than Bouillon, but back when I was cooking in restaurants and such I used to use Minor's Bases all the time. Really rich and flavourful They also have a wide variety of them. While they're made for food service you can buy them through Amazon and some other places. They even make a demi glace and an Au Jus that are pretty good, (though not as good as from scratch). I'll have to give the Better Than Bouillon a try, now.

In the restaurants I have used them all...rule of thumb was cheaper price-more salt. Buy the best! I agree on using sparingly. One unit I operated we would do the whole roasted veal bones etc for Demi Glace...awesome product, just costs more w/ labor.

In the restaurant business I too used Minor's Bases.  I have their clam base in my fridge now.  I use a combination of that and Better Than Bouillon's lobster base when I make fish chowder since I don't have any cod frames for stock.  Also use that combo for Chubby's delicious Cream of Crab soup!

Yes.  Pasteurized.  All we can get in Ohio.  In Boston I bought FRESH picked blue crabmeat.  I could also buy live crabs, boil them and have a terrific crab stock, then pick out the meat.  No such luxury in Ohio.

No, I have never had G&M, but I have had Faidley's....excellent. I think overall I prefer a fat fresh softshell over a Ccake....Just my preference.

Faidley"s crabcakes are our favorite, but overall I prefer G and M because it is more fun to sit in the restaurant to eat them, and they are a better value.

Just went by the Better Than Bouillon site to check the ingredients and I found I can use them. They don't contain any wheat ingredients (most Minors bases do have wheat, unless you buy their gluten free bases) that would aggravate my wife's wheat sensitivity. Good to know!

Never having had Faidley's except via overnight shipment I can't speak to how good their crabcakes might be on site. But when it comes to the crabcakes ordered for delivery G&M has it all over Faidley's. At least, that's my experience. I ordered from Faidley's once. I order only from G&M now.

Better Than Bouillon AU JUS Base is my favorite. I think that I use most of it just making cups of broth to drink. Lately, I can only find it on Amazon for big bucks.

I have one!  But haven't used it yet.  It's still under the tree, as it was a Christmas gift.
