Racing in Birmingham....Thanks Roadfood!

I just wanted to drop a note to those who asked me to update them on our racing results from this past weekend in Birmingham, AL. I finished FIRST in Class and I had to thank the power of Roadfood.com as one of my reasons. Many of you suggested that we try different places in the Birmingham area and although we were super busy all weekend, my crew and I did manage to make it to a few spots including Dreamland BBQ, Irondale Cafe, Hamburger Heaven and Golden Rule BBQ (yes, I know....two BBQ joints in one weekend " /> ). Without the fuel from these places, I highly doubt we would have finished as well as we did. Places like the Irondale Cafe and Dreamland BBQ really made us all feel GREAT all weekend!! It's AMAZING what good, tasty food will do for people's enthusiasm.

If you would like to see who we thanked specifically on our website, just click on the link below and scroll down to our last race result at Barber Motorsport Park:

What a GREAT weekend and we can't wait to go back....to eat, of course! Thanks everyone for your support and suggestions!!

Bluemaxx: congrats on your racing results and I am glad you enjoyed Dreamland. It is one of my favorites. I really enjoy their ribs and chicken.

I wish we had done as well as you when we were in Vegas. We stunk.

    The Dreamland sauce is super.

Sundancer, did you know Ray Godman, the owner of the TN Boll Weevil? Just wondering cause when i was young the Sheriff of Shelby Co (Memphis), can't remember his name, used to bring Ray in his wheelchair over to hang out by the pool. These guys knew my Dad.On another note Mike Dunn's father lived just up the road in St Charles IL when we lived there later. BIG house with circular driveway where we always saw the Hawaiian Punch big rig and chase van parked when he was in town. Just wondering.
