Radio? Bluetooth? Streaming? Music in your trailer.

What's everyone doing for music? If anything. Just building my trailer I have found the FM reception is horrible. I like my music. Thanks

    Curious...
Are you talking about music INSIDE for YOU?
    Or outside for customers??

I ask because the last festival I was it --- when we had summer  --
It seemed like every darn truck had fricken music blaring OUTSIDE the truck.

Some of them have speakers mounted outside.
Some have a big portable PA speaker.

I get it if you are the only truck on the street.
And you want a LITTLE background music going outside.
But these idiots seemed to all be trying to out do each other.
They were all lined up back to back to back.
Couldn't even hear the ACTUAL festival's live music.

That said... I too grabbed one of those portable PA speakers.

I think I got this model.

I can use it inside the truck for music.
SD card slot, bluetooth to phone, fm radio. 60 hours of battery life.

But I also got it because at the festivals, they were also using them to call out order numbers for pickup.
THAT part was a good idea.

So that's MY plan for it.

Also ordered a wireless headset / mic to pair with it.

Other than that I have a Ryobi radio.

Runs off the batteries, and off 110 v plug in.
Radio, bluetooth, plug in mp3 player.

    It works not too bad.
Not a party box, but just fine for inside the truck.

I had one of these inside for my listening pleasure. Has good sound and plenty of volume.

Yeah, the music would be mainly for the inside and for me. There's a lot I'll be parking in most of the time. So I may add a speaker outside.

Just to update, I took back the box that I bought, because when I just made a trip down to the USA and came across the same brand unit, but way better.
Bigger, louder, 100 hours battery life.
And for only a few bucks more than I paid at home.
    $120 at sams club.
So I had to get it.

Totally blows away the unit I had previously bought.
    Really is a party box.
    And it's water proof.

Can bluetooth to my phone, or plug in a satellite radio, or just use the built in radio.
Doesn't distort all to crap when you crank it up.
Hopefully it does well all around.

Still waiting for my wireless headset to come in to test that.
But at least so far, I can get an app for my phone that turns it into a pa system.
    Works not too bad.

And if anybody gives a rat's patootie....
They had it side by side in the store with the "monster" brand similar device.
And the monster brand one sounded like garbage.
They were on for the same price.
    Had to laugh.
Got home and saw the same monster one in a flyer here in Canada.
ON SALE for $350 .... woo hoo!  $100 off!!
We get hosed so bad up here.

I've had the Explorer for over a year , it was banned from my work. If it's too loud , you are too old.
    Keep jammin.

I like the ability to have just FM stereo. That's a nice unit.

    I like that ability too.
I also like the ability to do other stuff.
I also like the ability to use it as a PA system to call out orders ready!

    Multi purpose.
