Richmond, VA

I will be in Richmond, VA next week. Am looking for a roadfood type good southern place or a BBQ place for dinner.

Thanks in advance.

I am a fan of King's BBQ in Petersburg...not sure if you will be able to venture out that way. They have two locations, and there is debate over which is best. I stop at the one right on Route One because it is convenient for me when passing through.

Freckles in the Libbie Grove Neighborhood is a MUST!!!
Fried Chicken and Spoon bread is the item to order. The fried okra is good too with Sweet Tea. If they have Bananna Pudding as the dessert of the day- Go for it~!

For Breakfast. Mcleans on Broad Street. Either the Country Ham Breakfast or Big Breakfast is the way to go.

Don't go to Bills BBQ. It's really bad

And I happen to like the chocolate cream pie and fresh squeezed limeade at Bills.

Double T's Barbeque in Carytown is a little pricey, but I've always gotten good food there. And yes, FRECKLES!
