One week from tonite. If you're in Austin come through, we're making 60 quarts of gumbo and a big kettle of red beans and rice. Pineapple bread pudding for dessert and enough daquiris to get the 7th Fleet schnockered.

It's our big annual party, and the Saints are playing that afternoon so the Who Dat nation will be out and amped up.

Two hour sell-out. We'll do it again next year.

Very sad about the Saints though.  My biggest concern (football related) was a NOLA/Kansas City Superbowl.  Two of my favorite cities, and personal connections to both.  Now I got no one to root for at the party.  Reckon I'll focus on the potluck, which is usually a better option than the game anyway.

Congrats on your sell-out.  Hope everyone had a great time.

It was great but I was so busy prepping that I did not see one second of the Saints game. Sad ending to a brilliant season.

Same story in KC.  Mahomes gave Tom Brady a good run for his money.  He'll be a hometown hero in KC as long as he wants to stay there.

Or local press (Boston) covered a post game meeting where Brady went to see QB Mahomes. One reporter called it "the passing of the torch". I don't know what the future holds for Brady,,,,,,,,,,he could be governor if he wanted it, but the Boston guy who has every reason not to like Mahomes, thinks that KC will be the team to beat for some time...............but then again Mr Kraft could buy Mr Mahomes. I too hope that Mahomes stays in KC, because it would be good for the game.

Actually, I think the Hunt family could buy Mr. Kraft.

Obviously the Steelers need to be sold to the Heinz family.

"The New York Times is a great paper, I read it all the time. But, they've never really had a handle on what we do, in a culinary sense, here in New Orleans. They just don't get it at all. It's a bunch of bunk!"
I'm pretty sure I'd trust this guy's opinion...
