Shaved ice vs Italian Ice Business

Im in the south east of the United States. I was going to start a shaved ice cart, but the cart measurements are too large for the cities I want to work in so I'm starting an Italian ice cart next month. I was wondering if there is more success in one vs the other? I'm going to get a few locations around my home, try to do some high school/middle school sorting events, and do festivals.

Thanks,

Wishing you nothing but success with your new venture!

Please allow me to be an insufferable snot (but only for a second -- I promise!)

The delicious dish to which you refer is called SHAVE ICE.  I can't swear that it was invented in Hawaii, but it is certainly quite popular there, and that is the accepted spelling.

There is no such thing as SHAVED ICE.

    End of obnoxious comment.

As far as Italian Ice vs. Shave Ice, it would be a very different experience for you out on the street.

When you sell Italian Ice it is already DONE and waiting for you in your cart  -- you just have to scoop it out.

Shave Ice requires you to actually shave it (with a hand tool or a machine) every time someone orders one.

All FYI -- get out there and do wonderful things!
