Speaking of which - sorry for this brief topic interruption - is the guy who kicked out the original Bobcat Bite owners stealing the name and operating his own green chile cheeseburger joint at the original location?  Basically riding on the original owners rep?

I don't think so.  From what I've read, the owner demolished the building and is probably selling the land.

Nice. And of course the toast reminds me of Louis Lunch.

My Dad always liked toast over a bun. Said that was the way his Mom and Dad made them at the small diner/gas station/general store they owned back in the late 30's, early 40's. I still eat them like that on occasion.

Lisa. the burger looks good! IMHO, the store bought buns really don't add much taste to a burger anyway. Every time I have one on toast, I wonder why I don't do lt this way all the time. Of course, the only way Mollie would eat at Louis lunch is if we were sitting on the curb with ketchup packets.

They wouldn't dare do that to Mollie!  She's too cute!
I agree that the buns are not great......but hey, I have to put my mayonnaise on something!  Maybe I should try toast.

Michael, you silly rabbit! do you think Papa would allow that. Your talking to a man that would die for her.

Lisa, I put mayo on the botton and the red pepper relish on top. Have you ever tried the "Red Pepper Relish" ???

I remember that Friendly's used to serve their burger on toast.   Seeing that pic of Louis Lunch burger makes me want to go there soon & I will. Of course in the summer we get all the good summer spots for burgers.  I went to Clamps in New Milford and had a burger and onion rings.  Just as good as ever.  I also have been going to the Gooseboro in Bantam sine they opened in 1961 and their burger w/tomato & a slice of raw onion is still great, as well as the foot long Hummels hot dog with their sweet red relish.

ZB has been going half crazy with some super limited thursday specials with buns like deep fried ariancini or fried enchiladas? It seems like their trying to outdo themselves each time.
