Kroger stores here just began carrying Slawsa.

Michael, this is seriously good stuff, especially the Spicy! I got a case of Spicy and Regular, great on Hot Dogs or just straight up!

I'm going to get some on my next visit to Kroger. I don't know whether they have the spicy version.

cabbage, sugar, mustard, green bell peppers, onions, vinegar, carrots, salt, xanthan gum, spices & yellow dye #3.

I just made a batch, turned out pretty good too. I want to tweak the recipe a little then I'll post a link to it. I live in Texas and there are no Krogers stores here so I figured I'd try and make it myself, plus it kind of fun.

Hello all ,
Just seeing the post now .
I gave a full report on our facebook page - Hot Dog Nation that John Fox and I moderate
Just had gotten a bottle  of Slawsa sent to me from Oklahoma and had to try it .
Great taste , different than rutts in taste  but similar to Mista Dales as well .
All in all I will be looking at purchasing a few of both mista dales and  slawsa in the near future .

Just picked up a couple of jars of Slawsa while doing some Roadhouse Bar-B-Que Sauce promotional work at the Heinen's chain in Cleveland.  It is in fact very similar to a chow-chow both in flavor and appearance.  Anyone expecting any level of genuine heat from the Spicy version will be disappointed, but the flavor is pretty darned good.  I've been using it on Brats and Polish for the last week with great success.
Heinen's had Slawsa on sale for about $3.69 when I bought it; regular price over four bucks.
I'll bet they've got it at their new Chicago stores too, so I won't have to travel as far to get more.

Once I'm done with my remodel and have put everything back in the pantry I'll have to buy a jar.  Having to pack everything up told me I buy to much!  I have things that were purchased years ago and never tried.

I found some and took it to a 4th of July picnic. It's pretty good, but a bit too sweet for me. I liked it better on crackers than I did on hot dogs.
