Specialty Thin Crust Pizza in Worcester MA

Based on many recommendations, checked out The Corner Grille, 806 Pleasant Street, Worcester, MA.  Possibly the thinnest crust I've ever had.  I'm a purest - cheese, pepperoni, sausage is about it . . . but I was talked into their Chicken Caesar Salad Pie with caesar dressing, chicken, tomatoes, parmesan and mozzarella all topped with a cold chopped lettuce tossed in the dressing.  It was delicious!  It easily fed two of us for $11.99.  I liked it so much that I'm considering going back to try other pizzas such as The Buffalo Pie, Harvest Moon Pie (butternut squash and pumpkin seeds are a few of the toppings), Baked Potato Pie or the South-Westside barbecue Pie.  For the not so brave (the old me!) there are traditional toppings as well.  The place is small and parking can be limited at peak times but it's worth a visit.

Karilyn, I'm so glad you made it to the Corner Grille!  That place is incredible -- and I, too, have not had pizza that thin before.  You'll love the Harvest Moon; it's one of my favorites!    Chris

Wow, Karilyn, that sounds fantastic,  Chicken Caesar Salad Pie!  The Baked Potatoe Pie
sounds interesting.  Might have to take a Saturday afternoon drive that way when it gets
    warmer.

The Corner Grille is definitely a great place and does have the thinnest pizza I have seen.  I enjoyed my visit there with Chris and Amy a few years ago (has it been that long?) and am glad you enjoyed it. I'm also glad to hear that it still has outstanding pizza.

You can all but count me in for Worcester.
The problem with Worcester is usually ... you get in the car ... you drive ... and you drive ... and when you  get where you're going, you're only in Worcester.
but to see Karliyn, (for some reason your name always is bold) Beth ... and the gang ... it is all worth it !!!

March 8th it is . . . my calendar is updated in pen!  It will be nice to catch up with the Westerners in the State and the Southerners Out of State if they can join in.

BTW Gregg, I'm heading to Neptune Oyster today.  Celebrating my son's birthday and topping it off with a stop at Modern Pastry.

Sorry to say I will not be able to make it at all in March.   Maybe I can catch ya'll at a later gathering.  I look forward to meeting everyone.   I will be in Birmingham around that time to celebrate my grandson's birthday and try out some White BBQ sauce I've read about on RF.

I'm glad to report that the Corner Grille www.cornergrille.com has reopened after fixing considerable flood damage. The Worcester Telegram and Gazette had a nice feature today which mentions the small size of this gem, just 750 sq ft. According to the owner, she didn't know if she could re open, but after months of work, she is ready. During construction, folks kept stopping in hoping for a pizza, so she hopes that they will come back now.

    Wow,

I don't know how you find these old threads.
I noticed I had suggested a Worcester Crawl and sure enough we did one three months later!
This was literally a lifetime ago.

It's easy Dale. When I post what I think may be a new thread, the Roadfood site suggests that a older post may exist. It seems to me to be a good idea to keep info in one place. By hooking on to the old postings, i can let members see the earlier stuff, as well as mine, and decide if the place is worth a visit.

The fact that the place has been rated #7 in the entire country (not by me) makes it's reopening, at least IMO, Roadfood news.

My diet is now extremely limited, but next time your roadshow stops in Worcester, I hope to join you for at least one stop!!

tmiles, Thanks for the update on the Corner Grille in Wormtown. It looks awesome. I'll try to pull myself away from the awesome Diners next time I come through on my way Down East.

    Indeed!

I guess 'what did it for me' is the fact that those slices remind me of the first pizza I ever had.  And that gives me an idea for a new thread.
