The Mimslym Inn, which has been around since 1931, in Luray, Virginia is as elegant as ever. https://mimslyninn.com/
Duncan Hines dined here in the early 1950s. He wrote that it had an "early American" decor. As to the food he said they offered, "country ham, fried chicken and apple pies." He also said that it had "70 attractive guest rooms." It was, in his opinion, a very nice place to stay and dine. It still is.
There are several dining options available. One is to enjoy their Friday and Sunday buffets. Another is to dine on their front porch when the weather permits. Yet another is to have a meal in the Speakeasy, their casual dining room, or, for special occasions, their Circa 1931 dining room, where they serve breakfast and lunch.
Here is what one of their special occasion dinners looks like. http://mimslyninn.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/Champagne-Brunch-Menu-2017.pdf
