    I'll bet there are chili buns in Knoxville proper. There used to be a regional chain in those parts called Smoky Mountain Mkt that had them when I was a kid.

    I'll bet there are chili buns in Knoxville proper. There used to be a regional chain in those parts called Smoky Mountain Mkt that had them when I was a kid.


    Smokey Mtn. Market is long gone.  They had a full house which I use to get which was a tamale in chili.  Nobody in Knoxville did it like them.

    Yeah, I loved visiting there. They also had big bright red sausages that they sold like hot dogs with chopped onions and yellow mustard. Also, their ad campaign on WBIR was funny.
