The Impossible Whopper

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/04/01/technology/burger-king-impossible-whopper.html

Burger King is introducing a Whopper made with a vegetarian patty from the start-up Impossible Foods. The deal is a big step toward the mainstream for start-ups trying to mimic and replace meat.

Initially it will only be available in the St. Louis area, so if we have anyone in that area willing to be seen in a Burger King let us know what you think

My daughter is a vegetarian and has to look for a white castle for the small imitation slide. If this goes nationwide
I'm sure, provided it tastes right, it will have a solid market for it!

Yeah... but the rest of us will be wondering if we are getting the real meat in our burger now.

Hell, you don't taste much meat in a whopper or big mack anyway. Taste comes from tomato lettuce, cheese, and lots of sauce. Tried this once . Taste a whopper with meat...then without...about the same!!

heck my local store puts 4 or 5 small pieces of lettuce (mostly the thick rind part); about the same amount of onion; 2 thin round pickles; and a thin slice piece of green tomato.   Defiantly not like BK pictures.  The lettuce and tomato has no flavor. ... I've had thoughts of sending BK corporate a picture of the local Whopper.    NO the tomato & lettuce is not over powering the meat flavor here.
