As the blog entry is almost 9 years old, what's the current status of The Old Country Store?  The Google says it's 900 miles for me from here to there, so while I don't think I'll be stopping by anytime soon I'd like to know if the fried chicken is still holding its own.

The illustration at the top of the Cynical Cook page is interesting.  Is it just me, or does anyone else think the guy in the middle looks like someone who might be a Vermonter named Christopher?

I'll run by there this summer and pen a field report.

I'm finally going to get to pay this old fried chicken shack a visit in less than two weeks. Will report back.
