Every one looks great. Cheese sauce seems to be popular. I'm on broadband, and the list was still a little slow to load.
The folks who come to this site looking for advice on a french fry biz would be wise to study this list!

I'll go with the Souffle Potato Crisps at Luc in Seattle. In fact, those are the only ones I'd eat.

Unless it's pommes frites avec sauce Américaine in Mons, Belgium!!

I do not like anything on my fries, prefer dipping sauces on the side.  A really great fry doesn't need anything but a little salt.

I agree Lisa, simple is better...sauces on the side. I hate when the "crisp" integrity is compromised. I do enjoy Duckfat in Portland, Me. http://duckfat.com/ a wee bit pricey but different.

Anything fried in duck fat is great!  I have 2 jars but it's not enough to do frites.  It is enough, though, to make Pommes Darphin!

I finally took a look at the link and saw Chicago's very own Susie's Drive-In made the list.  We've visited a few times, starting more than ten years ago.  The food is good, the fries are indeed outstanding and the authentic retro vibe is very alluring, especially after dark.  However, I find their prices to be a bit high and their service less than welcoming.

A better bet, for me anyway, is right across the street at Beef & Burger.  Oddly enough, given the name of the joint, the Burgers here are just so-so, but the Italian Beef Sandwiches are pretty darned good.  The real hidden gem at B&B is the Grilled Chicken Breast Sandwich.  A well marinated full breast is cooked beautifully on an open fire grill before landing on your choice of French Bread, Pita, or Hamburger Bun, then topped with lettuce, tomato, and mayo.  I prefer they dress it up like a classic Burger with Ketchup, Mustard, Pickle, Onion, and Tomato.  Because I'm weird, that's why.

Also, the prices are right, they're always glad to see you, and more importantly, as it relates to this thread, and as they compare to their next door rival, the Fresh Cut Fries are as good or better than Susie's!

Thanks.  In spite of the high prices and less than amiable service, it really is kinda fun to experience Susie's at least once.  OTOH, if the visual is their highest recommendation, it's still best to dine at Beef & Burger where you get friendly counter folks, lower prices, comparable food, and a damn fine view of Susie's.

I don't think so. He's not selling kitchens, just taking a timid first step into our shark tank.
I don't go to burger places for fries, but that's just me.
