The Barnaby Jones marathon on Decades TV!

Tonight's episode: "A Little Glory, A Little Death"...

Brian taped 5 hours of it. I never watched this when it was first on, but now I like it.

And the 'season finale' is going to involve a Special Prosecutor going after Kiefer and my little ninja girl.  Oh, please!  Spare me.

Because of its title I almost didn't watch this short film, a compilation of fairly recent innovations that were never 'debunked', but have simply disappeared.

Have any of you ever heard of this stuff?

The short piece on Starlite was actually filmed and broadcast on the BBC, hardly known for 'hoaxes":

Anyone watching the new show on The Food Network...

The Best Baker in America?

I'm watching because my ex neighbor, Jean Francois Suteau is competing.  Makes it more exciting.  When he lived here he was the head pastry chef at The Beverly Hills Hotel and he and his family moved to West Virginia when The Greenbriar wanted him.

Nobody has touched this. I feel like one of those guys in the tin foil hat for being interested. I also wonder what happened to the few year old news story of what looked to be a submarine missile launch off the Calif coast. The cell phone videos seemed to be real.

I am waiting for the last few episodes of "Orphan Black" to come to me via Netflix. IMO, this excellent, but under watched show, should have ended a season earlier. Right now, too many uninteresting sub plots have opened up. I wonder if they can bring it to a satisfying end in the few shows left. I don't know if it was cxld early enough for the writers to bring it to an end, or if we will be left forever hanging.

I thoroughly enjoyed the HBO documentary, The Final Year.

Some will think it tragedy, others, comedy.

It is a brilliant political and geo-political Rorschach Test; the late, great Tom Wolfe could not have written a better script.

If you thought "Laurel or Yanny" was a head-scratcher, you must check it out.

Has anyone seen the "Bug a-salt" ad? I was thinking it was a joke, but I looked them up and it's real. What a hoot!! I'd use it to blast my steak, but the grand kids would blast each other. I will not be getting one.

"Who is America?", Sacha Baron Cohen's latest 'opus' now airing on Showtime.

Yes, it is crude and more-than-a-little cringe-worthy, but I find it hilarious.

His 'schtick' hasn't changed a bit from "Ali G" or "Borat" in that he plays characters who entice people into interviews/situations in which he quickly accelerates into the absurd.

The "winners" call "B.S." early-on and the "losers" literally go all the way.  It's as uncomfortable to watch as a plane crash, yet every bit as riveting.

To put the nicest possible spin on it I am reminded of H.L. Mencken:  "I comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable."

Nevertheless, watch at your own risk.

Well, let's see...we went and saw Antman and the Wasp yesterday. It was a really good movie and I recommend it highly, if you've been watching the Marvel movies.  On the TV front we just finished up watching "The Expanse" and it was fantastic. Well written, acted and filmed. It is great science fiction and I cannot begin to say how much I have enjoyed this series. If you have Netflix I recommend catching up on the last 2 seasons and catch the 3rd when it becomes available.

I'm going to see Antman and The wasp tonight.  Glad to know it's good. I waited too long and they aren't showing it in 3D near me anymore.
I watched an HBO documentary on Robin Williams called Come inside my mind.  I really enjoyed it. I learned a lot of things I didn't know about him.  It was funny, sad, thoughtful and I recommend it.

I'm about 400 episodes into my months-long Gunsmoke bingathon. I'm down to the last few black & white episodes and then will get to the ones in color. There are a little over 200 of those.

Struggling to get through the newest season of Orange is the New Black.  I think this show needs to end.  I didn't like last season either and this season so far is just all of the fallout from that one.  Luckily we should be done just in time for Ozark season 2 to drop!
