The Deadwood Movie.

I loved that show. I haven't paid for HBO for many years, but I binged watched all 36 episodes when my cable company gave me free access for a few months a couple years ago and a friend with HBO invited me over to watch the movie. It was very-well done. There was no drop off from the series to speak of. Most of the important characters were back.

My daughter, a high school teacher, was asking me about safe pesticide use. Some folks at a vacation resort may have been hurt when too much bedbug spray was used. She asked me "Why?" knowing that until recently I was  licensed for "restricted use" pesticides. My answer was "poor supervision", and mentioned the Bill Murray asst greens keeper in Cady Shack . She had never seen the movie and didn't know what I was talking about. If you didn't see the movie, the asst greens keeper goes way overboard in trying to get rid of a gopher. In the movie it was funny, but in real life it is not.

We watched the movie. It is still funny. A year or so ago I saw a story about competing claims as to who now owns the Rodney Dangerfield yacht used in the movie. The yacht scenes were funny, but my favorite prop was the red Rolls Royce that Mr Dangerfield drove on to the course to the disgust of Ted Knight.

We've been watching about 1 episode per night (up to episode 4 now). We're enjoying this season. Lots of Easter eggs and nostalgia in it!

Good to hear.  I hate when they ruin a good show.

I watch the same old junk night after night.  Not a TV person.  I turn it on when Michael goes to bed just for the noise.  Then I look at my computer or read a book!

I'm trying to catch all the shows celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 1st moon landing, but not for the obvious reasons. We now live in the same county (Brevard) where the Kennedy Space Center is located. Most of the programs show something of what the county was like before NASA moved in & then the changes that came along with the Mercury, Gemini & Apollo missions. The county has changed a lot since then; like almost everywhere, some changes were for the better, some for the worse.

Boy, do I understand! I  would be doing the same thing...So cool that you can see those changes. Living at the Jersey shore, the Fame of the high school football team made it into the North Jersey papers around 1960, and our sleepy town got noticed...and voila, tourism and changes and 80,000+ more people, ...  Some, like you say, for the better, some not!

I AM going to watch Tarantino's latest:

He puts it forward as his 9th. film.
Given his 'filmography' I have no idea how he arrives at that number.

I enjoy his work immensely yet care not a fig or a fart about his "politics".

So far I've watched 8 episodes of Mozart in the Jungle.  It isn't grabbing me but I'm loving the music.  It's not one of those I must watch the next episode... NOW! shows.

We've been watching "The Boys" on Amazon Prime. Great show for adults who like the superhero genre.
