Last night we had pork tenderloin cutlets, pappardalle and a big salad.

Looks wonderful...cutlets look done perfectly.

I am living vicariously through all y'all, just so you know. Me, I'm having pop tarts and yogurt at 1:30am. But I got fancy and actually took the time to put the pop tarts in the toaster, so it's kinda like cooking.

I'm full, in addition to being happy.

I wonder if we could have it again tomorrow.

Took a co-worker to dinner between shows at Hunan Gardens, which is easily my favourite Chinese restaurant but I hardly ever get to go since it's in Kalamazoo. We didn't get dinners, but rather a whole table full of appetizers. Hot & sour soup, egg rolls, shrimp rolls, teriyaki beef, crab rangoon, steamed dumplings, and a couple of pots of very nice jasmine tea.

I finally made the pork chops.  Got rid of some Shake and Bake Barbecue coating and some leftover fried rice.

You can't have a group meal at a Chinese restaurant without appetizers!  Start with them and only add entrees (to share, of course) if there's enough collective stomach capacity.

It is NOT paper!  That's saved for sandwiches.

It's a Corelle pie plate.  I use them a lot!

I was under the weather on St. Patrick's Day so we had our corned beef and cabbage tonight.

I made a Key lime pie for dessert.

And my heart beats so that I can hardly speak
And I seem to find the happiness I seek

Lisa, that's one of my favorite pies and I love it that you don't make it that fake green color... or heaven forbid... cover with meringue.

Looks perfect.

What did I have for dinner?  Everything in front of me after eating a big salad.

I don't like that fake color either and I am NOT a fan of meringue.  I only make it for lemon meringue pie and I don't make it mile-high but that's just my preference.

I still remember a friend who brought a "Key Lime" pie to a Thanksgiving potluck as a predinner desert. To be polite, we all had to take a slice and since we were right in front of her, eat it with 'yummy' sounds. It didn't taste BAD but it sure was as GREEN as heck and had a meringue that didn't quite stretch.. It had snapped back in transport, evidently.. Hmm. It was nice of her to go to the trouble and share it with us. lets leave it at that.

Carfagna's store-made hot sausage.  Broccoli rabe, cannellini beans, garlic and hot pepper flakes sautéed in olive oil.

Oh God do I love beans and greens with good Italian sausage. Well, I love beans and greens. And I love good Italian sausage. Put 'em together and I'm in Heaven. And right now I'm honking my horn at angels who should have their flying licenses revoked.

You're stuttering, but it does look good.

I had skirt steak and a cheese enchilada at El Torito.  The day was perfect to sit in a chain overlooking the Marina.
