That looks great.  I have to substitute corn for hominy, I've never liked hominy.

I've been watching YouTube videos of Sunday gravy being made. I am going to try myself soon.

I did not make Sunday gravy, but it is on my list of things to do. Today I finally managed to make the creamy tomato gnocchi soup, and it was darn fine. Perfect for the warmest day we've had in a couple of weeks... we topped out at a whopping 23F today!

Looks great and your 23F was better than our 18F here in New Jersey! That soup sure will warm you up.

DISCLAIMER-- I was only trying to make a good scratch made sauce and it was great. I never heard of Braciole until I got ready too cook and looked on Youtube. I only watched one video and cobbled up available ingredients. I had two Filets , cut them thin and beat them flat , seasoning , some good cheese I had and some garlic and italian parsley.

The gravy was made with San Marzano tomatoes , fresh basil , fresh garlic and onion. And Evoo.
We were very happy with it , except , I broke the braciole in the pot and it just looks like chunks of meat.

This was really good. I watched a few videos while it cooked for 3 hours and know whats up next time.
The cheese in the pic was put there for Lisa and Lee, I was given a very good cheese that I shaved on top.

Skewer to hold it together. The smell outside my home on a cold winter day was amazing.

Karl, that looks fabulous as does Felix's soup.  I like hominy if it's the golden variety.  I think it has more flavor than the white which I find most often.

I made a 2 egg omelet filled with a couple spoonfuls of Nutrisytem chili (which I'll do again) and doused it all with a red salsa I bought at Chilitos in Las Cruces, New Mexico.  It's great salsa with a good kick.

Uncle Groucho (and everyone else),

Lisa can't get on Roadfood. She can't log in using any name, and it seems no one in charge of anything has made himself or herself available to help. But, she wanted to tell you your Sunday gravy and braciole look mighty good.

Oh, and I agree with her.

Chicken wings covered in Aleppo chiles and salt. Cooked hot (450 degrees) for 45 minutes in the backyard on a Weber kettle loaded with dry pecan wood.

It's a theme, Pete! My sister sent leftovers home with mom the other day, so we had turkey, stuffing, loaded mashed potatoes, and green bean casserole. Totally forgot I still have cranberry sauce or I'd have put that out, too. Made my whole day since today was my first day working in my union office as the co-manager.

I want all of that!!!

I'm having wine, and quite possibly pumpkin bread. I walked in the door less than 10 minutes ago from an appointment that should have taken 15 minutes but instead took almost two hours, and my mother demanded to know was I aware I was gone while I was supposed to be cooking dinner and what was I planning for her to eat. I suggested she microwave a Lean Pocket and back off.

Maybe you should suggest to mom that she prepare a meal for you!

Made 3 ingredient gluten free mac and cheese. It was pretty good! I think next time I'll use a medium cheddar, rather than a sharp. though. Easy recipe and it was a hit with the family.

Greymo, that'd be fabulous! But she doesn't cook any more. I'm not even sure she remembers how, honestly. I ended up reheating leftovers for her.

Thought I'd try the new Polish place around the corner today since I had 90 minutes to kill between appointments and didn't feel like going home. Fabulous!! Golabki with red potatoes in tomato sauce, kielbasa with kapusta, potato pancakes, and 3 pierogi (2 cheese/potato, 1 pork/onion/cheese). I'm getting two dinners out of it.
