Two large pizzas for $17...Monday through Thursday deal at the  Italian pizzeria down the road. We're so lucky to live where we have a choice from over 90 pizzerias...and our favorite is one mile away!

I hate you.

Mom requested food, so that's what I made. I think. But she's hardly eaten at all since I got home, so whatever.

Hillshire Farm Cheddarwurst.

The meal wasn't bad, but I'd planned a whole thing with fresh produce and stuff from my garden. But she cleaned her plate for the first time in months! Maybe I have to rethink this whole cooking healthy thing... It's not like it really matters if the ALZ or something else ends up killing her. I'm still making vegetables tonight, though, or they'll go bad.

Are these the flavors of the day at your local ice cream shop?

Yes!  I skipped the mustard ice cream and went Argentinian.

I feel almost ashamed to post my fake crab after those gorgeous crab cakes, but so be it. Crab-stuffed cucumbers, carrot and raisin salad, and celery salad with blue cheese and pecans.

Had crabcakes again!  https://www.facebook.com/...LIoC8MEiKJFQZP-7qeLBpQ

Those look good, not like those cakes that have too much filler and too little crab!

I just ate two cheddarwurst, the last of the mac & cheese, and two cherry pop tarts. And now I'm chasing them with a gigantic vodka and cranberry soda. Mom's in the hospital via ambulance, we don't know if she'll be allowed to return home ever, and if that's the case we have to sell the house and I have nowhere to live.

Very sorry to hear this . I can empathize as I've been in your situation ( without a housing issue) so I can understand how tough and difficult it is for you. One piece of advice for your mother's potential to return home. To whatever extent possible insist that they get her up out of bed asap. Otherwise elderly people quickly get very deconditioned very quiclly and then are sent to a " rehab" institution and often decline there.Best to her and you.

Felix, so sorry to hear all of this.  It broke my heart when my parents passed and I had to sell the house that I grew up in.  But I did.  If you ever need anything let us know.

What's for dinner tonight for me is a Caprese salad and an ear of corn.

Wing Stop for me.  Half mild and half lemon pepper.  Only 1 carb per 2 wings if I believe them.

Strawberries, blueberries and heavy cream for dessert, later.

Nothing wrong with more corn.  Enjoy it while it lasts because before we know it it'll be done for the year!

I am enjoying it!!!!!!!!!!  When the end of the season is near I buy a few dozen ears, cut all the kernels off and freeze them.  Good for making creamed corn or using in soups in the dead of winter!
