Roasted chicken breasts tonight.                                                                                     Accompanied by butternut squash glazed with maple syrup.  And probably a tomato salad for me.

I had Fair Food.  Not easy while on Keto.

They called it pork chop on a stick.  The photo looked like a beautiful pork chop on a stick.

This is what I received:  Hunk of Dry pork on a stick.  It was grilled.  I doused it with Buffalo Wing Sauce.  It helped.

That pork chop sounds pretty UNfair...

McDonald's on the way home will have to suffice. Mom was home from the ALF as of Wednesday, and today she's back in the hospital courtesy of the very nice county sheriff's deputy who answered her 911 call less than two hours after I left for work.

It's 97 degrees outside.  For dinner we're having broiled walleye and rice!

Did you broil it on the sidewalk?

Simple hamburger tacos here tonight.  Mrs. C and I celebrate the big 3-0 on Monday but since many places are closed we'll probably do something nice tomorrow or Sunday, financed by our parents.

Not adventurous tonight.  I made a cheese omelet and added avocado after cooking.  Do not like it heated.

Fried eggs, one broken, one not, bacon and avocado.  I can really do without the avocado but I'm supposed to eat it.  I like guacamole and I like it in a salad, but I don't like it just on my plate.  Guess it will be a salad tomorrow.

My boss at the store gave me the better part of a fresh loaf of jalapeno cheddar bread from Field & Fire Bakery around the corner. I'm afraid I ate entirely too much of it with butter and nothing else for dinner because it is almost sinfully good. Perfect chewy crust outside, even better tender inside.

I'll bet it makes for great toast, too!

Haven't decided yet.  Roasted chicken with corn on the cob or red beans and rice and Andouille sausage?

Aaron Franklin-style beef ribs tonight: douse liberally with hot sauce, add some hefty sprinkles of salt and pepper, and smoke.  Since it's a weeknight and the ribs aren't that large (typical grocery store version where they're trimmed really close) I think a couple of hours will be enough cooking time.
