Today it's choosing to take me back to leethebard's post about white pasta fagiole every time I open the thread.

Dinner tonight was fantastic! It's a recipe from Pillsbury of all places, to which I made almost no changes. Sausage and Gnocci Soup. And, bonus discovery (which will most likely properly horrify some of you, and I'm OK with that), is gnocchi from the dollar store is actually fairly decent. No, it's not homemade, but it is a dollar.

Oh yeah... Sausage and Gnocchi Soup. I used half red onion and half sweet, added a teaspoon of Italian-Romano seasoning and skipped the salt, and had slightly more than half a pint of cream so I used it all.

Nothing wrong with dollar gnocchi.  Good in chicken soup as well.

Think I'd change that up but taking out the sausage and adding coconut milk and Thai curry paste.  Maybe a touch of fish sauce and sugar.  Maybe it's a different soup altogether.

That soup looks good. Tonight was red beans and rice with cheeseburgers, the kids were wanting cheeseburgers.

felix,
The soup looks really good.  But I can only eat gnocchi the way my Grandfather made it........in meat sauce.
