Stabby?  I'm so sorry.

I had quite the ugly dinner.  Went to what my brother and sister thought was a good (their favorite) Italian restaurant in Beverly Hills.

They serve UGLY food!  Food should never be ugly in a restaurant.  Pasta should never be $29 for a small portion.

I ordered the Agnolotti which was filled with ricotta and mushrooms in a white sauce scented with truffle.

Ugly, I tell you!

The first bite was good and then it became monotonous.  It needed something.  It needed brightness, the new word on the Food Network.

Here it is in all its onetoneness....   (this was a green pasta)

I finally got back in my kitchen! Not that it was hard... I just made Mississippi Roast, with the addition of onions, carrots, and potatoes so I didn't have to make side dishes.

lleechef made a beautifully simple and delicious dinner. Penne in a garlic, olive oil and broccoli rabe sauce with hot Italian sausage and a tomato salad. For desert she made a peach cobbler using wonderful Loring peaches.

I love peach cobbler, and our Jersey peaches are great this year!

Since on Sunday "dinner" is the noon meal, we're having a rack of beef ribs in about 5 minutes.  It was cut in half lengthwise so the ribs are short, but they're not actually short ribs.  One half-rack sauced, one not.

I am purposely leaving my house so I can get McDonald's chicken nuggets and a giant cup of sweet tea. It was either that or finish the half-gallon of ice cream left from making root beer floats.

Pan-seared salmon for dinner. By the way, anyone here who can recommend grills or related that are great to use for fishing and camping trips? I've been looking at tailgate grill products like this:

I'm quite hopeful to get some feedback here since some of you might be using it while on the road.

Looks good felix! I've made that too and also add more peppers than the recipe calls for and I do add carrots.

agnesrob, I've made it with bone-in chicken thighs, too, and it's amazing! When I do it that way, I usually make mashed potatoes and thicken the sauce for gravy.

Tonight I threw a bunch of stuff in a skillet and came out with a fantastic meal! Gnocchi, spinach, chicken, butter, fresh sage, and some other herbs and spices. Cottage cheese was the perfect accompaniment.

Looks strange, doesn't it?

Tonight I made a very strange, but very tasty dinner.  I had some squares of defrosted puff pastry left from my mother's day dinner in the refrigerator.  I had defrosted what was left... three 5 inch squares.  I heated up a can of Bush's Baked beans with 2 sliced Nathan's all beef, skinless hot dogs and added some real maple syrup and a squirt of hot sauce.  Real hot sauce I brought home from a Mexican restaurant in Palm Springs.  I cooked it until there wasn't any "juice", put it in the middle of the pastry squares, folded them into triangles crimped, poked and baked them.  Beanie Weenie Turnovers!  I thought mine was delicious!

Very!

Thinking it would be good with all kinds of fillings.  I found the package of puffed pastry squares at a German Market.  Hope they still have them the next time I visit.

I have never eaten beanie weenies.

Tonight I was creative! Provolone and Prosciutto chicken rolls, pepper-stuffed zucchini boats, and Israeli salad. The first two are my recipes, the salad comes from another food blogger. Mom hated all of it, so there are leftovers for lunch at work this weekend. I win!

And since the picture of the chicken on the plate is dumb...

That does look good!  Your mother didn't like any of it?

Think I'll do quesadillas later.  It's a lazy day.

I'm even thinking about having to go downstairs to make the quesadillas.

That looks so good, Lisa.

I should have had anything other than what I had....  Popeye's chicken and their jambalaya.  Did they always have jambalaya?  It was good!

However I think I'm dying.

I had time to cook again! Cottage pie, made with half ground beef and half ground venison. Mom not only voluntarily said it tasted good, she went for seconds! " /> I about fell over.
