That's a 5-Way Greek Meat Sauce Baked Potato. It was seriously good.

Turns out it's not cold today, but since my mother refuses to open the windows or doors because a breeze might get into the house and I didn't have to go outside for anything I had no idea and wanted comfort food. It's cold in here!

I've been rotating between salads and eggs.  Tonight was a salad.  This might continue for the next year.  I'm making up for overdoing it for over a year.  I've been bad.

It was a good salad.

That looks pretty good.  Did you find the recipe online?

I did! I used heavy cream soured with vinegar instead of buttermilk, and a couple teaspoons of an herb blend from my local spice place instead of fresh parsley (one tossed with the bread cubes, one mixed into the chicken). Otherwise, followed it exactly. WAY tasty!

Back in the early 80's, fresh out of college, my buddies and I would go to the beaches of Maryland and Delaware for fun and frivolity. With only enough $ to buy libations for us (and the ladies) we had a limited food budget (forget sleeping-that was done on the beach or in our car) we found a Chicken Shack that Roasted 1/2 birds on a huge open grill-Cornell, NY Style. ED's Chicken Shack in Dewey Beach, Delaware was the inexpensive protein bomb. I loved it so much I told my (at that time future) wife about it and we began to replicate it. After arriving at perfection we have been eating and serving it to others ever since. Being an avid cook and Restaurateur, I have never had a marinade that truly goes through like this one. Cider Vinegar-Lemon Juice-Old bay Seasoning-Cajun Seasoning-Cayenne Pepper-Italian Dressing, marinated for 2 days and then grilled. We do Boneless and Bone In....we call it Chesapeake Chicken, although no seafood involved. Sadly Ed's (who later added Crabs) was destroyed by a drunk driver http://www.delawaretoday....-a-Dewey-Beach-Staple/ and he decided not to rebuild. The Plate is our daughters w/ Kale Salad-we had Black Beans and Rice.

I was at work so long today we had dinner twice as well as breakfast and lunch! First dinner was from Two Beards Deli. I got the Klingon (Pastrami, Salami, Sauerkraut, Austrian Swiss, Horseradish Mayo, Russian Dressing on Wheat Panini), with extra horseradish mayo.

Second dinner came from Soho Sushi, but I wasn't really that hungry so instead of dinner I got some hot & sour soup, egg rolls (forgetting how goofy their egg rolls are... they're more like taquitos), and crab rangoon.

As it turns out, they couldn't just replace the filling that broke yesterday because the tooth itself was broken into three pieces. So this morning, quite unplanned, the dentist pulled one of my molars. Thus dinner was some beef bouillon, some plain yogurt, and a cup of chocolate pudding. They tell me I should be able to eat solid food again in 4-5 days.

Greek Meat Sauce continues to show its versatility.

Tonight it was a Six-Way.

I thought I was good, since I love making soup. Didn't realize how very many soups I make have chunks of stuff in them! So... internet to the rescue. Epicurious has a fabulous cream of asparagus soup recipe. Later tonight I'm making a stupid simple pumpkin soup recipe from Good Housekeeping, and since I've still got a bunch of cheesy potato soup in the freezer I should be good through the weekend.
