I started some new meds a few days ago which are taking *quite* a bit of adjustment, so my grocery list was apparently written in the Twilight Zone. Thus I had to create a new recipe instead of making any one of the six I had planned, as I bought about 1/3 of the ingredients for each of them, but not enough of anything to make any given one. So... Chicken, Bacon, and Mushroom Enchiladas (also spinach, but the name was getting too long). Which, given my mental state, were actually surprisingly tasty! Who knew?

Tonight is choose your leftover!  But not the Osso Bucco because there's enough of that for both of us tomorrow night.

My leftovers dinner was the last of the pork tenderloin Milanese and pappardelle -- one of my very, very favorite meals.

It's been a heck of a week, so I spent probably too long in the kitchen trying to ignore everything. Broiled pork chops, spaghetti squash au gratin, stove top stuffing (I was lazy, whatever), coconut macaroons, and peanut butter thumbprint cookies with bittersweet chocolate.

Huh. I have pictures, but apparently Flickr is down tonight. I'll edit and add them in tomorrow I guess.

lleechef , In a restaurant , how would one eat that meal with the tail on shrimp , can you use your fingers or do you try to cut them of with a knife . Asking for a friend.
It looks beautiful.

Fork for the pasta, fingers for the shrimp. Using a knife to cut the tails off would result in a loss of shrimp meat.

In a restaurant I would use a fork and fingers.  Fingers only for the last bite.

Oh my goodness, that looks fabulous! I'm overly stuffed and I want some! It's way above my skillset, but reminds me I need to order some of the crab and scallop stuffed sole from Omaha Steaks.

I was working in hell today, also known as the Amway hangar at our airport, putting together a party for one of their New Platinum conferences. It was cold and miserable and stupid, so I decided when we were done I deserved a treat. Took myself back to Sheshco, and this time around got the Veggie Combo platter. Tabbouli, hommous, 2 stuffed grape leaves, 2 falafel, and spinach pie. I chose crushed lentil soup again because it's fabulous, and opted for rice this time. And of course their incredible fresh bread with garlic sauce, and again Yemeni tea with honey. I took so much food home I have at least one more more meal, probably two. Totally forgot to take a picture.

You know what I find amazing? A place that does both meat and vegetarian meals so well I can't find fault with anything. And this time I sat within view of the bread oven. It's an open brick oven, with visible flame. Not only was it cozy on a stupidly cold and blustery night, but it was neat to watch the bread rise.

felix,
What do you mean it's above your skillset?  Super easy to make!!  But a tad expensive because of the crabmeat.  Let me know if you want me to post the recipe.  It really is EASY!!!

Well, what the heck. I'd love the recipe! Maybe I'll surprise myself. Thanks!

Tonight I wanted comfort food and it's too cold for ice cream (also, one cannot always turn to ice cream if one does not want to weigh 800 pounds). So I made butternut squash and carrot bisque. Or perhaps bisque-ish since it came out thicker than I intended.
