When did you move into a Subway?

That's a nicely hefty sandwich!  Did you add a little oil & vinegar and dried oregano as condiments?

The kids came over so we had Sunday dinner before the game.  Bone-in strip roast on the rotisserie, braised potatoes, and an asparagus-mushroom mélange.

Olive oil applied liberally to both cut sides of the bread, which was then sprinkled with dried oregano, a little salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Tonight what's for dinner is a favorite of mine.  It's called "Leftover Surprise"!  I had 1/2 roasted chicken so I took the meat off the bones, added vegetables and the chicken gravy into a pot with some cream of chicken soup.  Made some cheddar biscuits (my Mother's recipe).  So we have chicken stew and biscuits.  Yum!

Glad you're back, lleechef!

Dinner here was a "phone it in" kind of thing, since I got home less than 30 minutes before we usually eat. Found a large piece of spinach and artichoke lasagna in the freezer we could split, so I heated that up along with some frozen green bean casserole and a can of sweet peas.

Good for you.  Ignore the buffoons and carry on.  Actually, I find their posts as being hysterical and just carry on.   They do not add to Roadfood so it is best to laugh at them

Ileechef--As an infrequent poster but frequent forum reader I have to say that I am both relieved and pleased that you decided one man's opinions ( about football for God's sake) were not going to cause you to abandon the RF community. You are perhaps the most knowledgeable, concise and helpful poster there is and without your presence this site loses a lot of its value. Your high regard for Pepes white clam pie and your thick juicy burger topped with its tomato equal are legion. Plus as a food professional you add credibility in your judgements that others lack. Not to mention that your dinners make Michael a very lucky man. Thanks for being here!!

I am incredibly jealous! I haven't seen a REAL bagel in ages. Lord, but those look good!

I'll just be over here, sipping my Slimfast and drooling.

Dinner tonight was an abysmal failure if you ask my mother, who was angry the pea soup I'm making is for tomorrow and refused to eat what I'd cooked for tonight. I thought it was fabulous. Curried apricot chicken, Brussels sprouts in butter sauce, and cottage cheese.

Tonight's dinner was a braised lamb shank.  I had it with cheese ravioli and the braising sauce.
