lleechef made Broccoli Fusilli for dinner tonight. It's one of my favorites, and it was soooo wonderful. She uses Fusilli Lunghi (long fusilli).

Me too. I almost had the leftovers for breakfast, but I decided to save it for lunch.

I had this yesterday.  It was lunch time but it was enough where I didn't need dinner.

One of my favorites!

Can you believe that?  I was shocked!  It was a bit dry but the grill marks added a new layer of flavor... the outer layer.

Lisa should be open to trying new foods.  (kidding!)

It's just celery, onions, carrots and a starch binder.   So delicious!

I'm not dead yet! Also, I actually had time and money together to have something other than a sandwich from home! I grabbed a dry beef burrito from Adobe In & Out between a craft show and going to the ballet's theatre for a show.

Felix, that's better than anything I've done.  Well except for the kishka that I had when I met Ellen for lunch.  Remember Ellen?

I do remember Ellen! Hope all is well with her.

Tonight I made 30-minute soup. Threw a bunch of stuff in a giant pot and it was phenomenal! I'm calling it Tortellini vegetable soup.

Felix, your soup looks delicious!

Ellen is doing well.  She has a few food related groups on Facebook and I met a few of the Ellen loves Pastrami group.  It was good to see her as it had been 5 years.

Lleechef always makes me wish I was a better cook, or lived closer.

Today I lost my mind and decided I wanted chicken pot pie... with from scratch crust, which I have never made in my life. And since I was going that far, I thought I'd make some honey-oat bread to go with it. I totally won!!

Good job, Felix! My wife is out of town so the kids wanted a gluten filled comfort dish. Got a family sized box of Kraft Mac & Cheese and a 12oz can of chunk light tuna in oil. Mixed the tuna into the finished Mac & Cheese, added copious amounts of fresh ground pepper and we went to town on  it. Had enough left over that the daughter wants to take the remainder for her school lunch. Ah, the joys of virtually instant food!
