On behalf of my friend, thanks all.
He’s headed to Indy for the 500 after Cincinnati.

Well, I do not envy him being in Indy for that! The entire city will be crowded and getting around Speedway will be a nightmare. That said, he can look forward to some decent places in Indy. The restaurant scene is booming.

Woot's BBQ on Cheviot Road in White Oak has closed, replaced by Tino's Greek American Family Restaurant (which is now open, although I haven't been yet). I don't know if Velvet Smoke opening a test kitchen nearby had anything to do with the closing, but I personally hadn't gone back to Woot's once VS opened.

On an unrelated note, Cincinnati Burger Week starts on Monday, July 15.

Looks like the old Karlo's on Houston Road may be seeing another restaurant in the near future by the name of Crab Du Jour...

Crab Du Jour offers the freshest seafood and most authentic recipes in the area. When you walk into our restaurant, you'll immediately experience Southern charm and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere to make you feel at home.

Whether you are stopping in for a business lunch, family dinner, date night, or a night out with friends, you've come to perfect stop. Delicious home-style seafood with generous portions is what you can expect with every meal. We're cooking up crab, crawfish, calamari, and lobster in the kitchen, made fresh daily. Not into shellfish? Try our Cajun rice, chicken tenders, and other flavorful menu options.

At Crab Du Jour, we know food tastes better with your hands, so don't be shy dig in! Our signature Cajun Style low country boil is a feast for seafood lovers and perfect for casual dinner. We make our own seasoning to create a unique arrangement of flavors. For an experience that satisfies your apetite while ensuring a fun time, visit our seafood restaurant today!

Their website shows that they currently have one location (in Levittown PA) and twenty-nine (yes, 29!) locations listed as 'Coming Soon' from Connecticut to Georgia to Wisconsin.  We'll see if it ever materializes...

Based on Google Maps it looks like the possible WI location might be a former Applebees located in a strip mall.

The website shows a Manhattan phone number (area code 646) as the number for what would appear to be the corporate office as well as the Levittown location.  That and the fact that the site has at least 2 spelling errors ("mussles", "apetite") make me wonder about the length and width of the shoestring Crab du Jour is operating on.

That black musseel sounds interesting. Is that like a cross between a mussel and an eel?
