    And rightfully so. Zuppardi's is, without question, in the same class as the New Haven greats.  Their sausage, in fact, is better than any I've had at the New Haven greats.

    Wouldn't work. The dough needs the salt air from Long Island Sound, and the clam pie requires clams right out of the Sound.

    Hey our air is good and salty. One of the largest estuaries in the US is right here, Lake Pontchartrain. No clams but we got plenty crawfish.

    But it's not the air off the Sound. And you can't make a clam pie with crawdads.

    Yu can have clams flown to any part of the world from any part of the world. I've bought Rhode Island Quahogs and had them shipped to the Midwest. Nothing is impossible.
