Hey all, thanks for responding! I am located near Lake Geneva. The city of Lake Geneva does not allow street vending, (public property vending) they are all about money in their pockets and street vendors don't play into that for them I guess.
BUT the lake on the other hand, is part of multiple communities, and we hope that gives us more opportunities than just being shut down by the city of Lake Geneva. There are some smaller lakes in my area as well that are quite busy, but not as much as Lake Geneva/Williams Bay/Bigfoot. Our first choice would obviously be the larger lake. Finding out how to get a process going has been a huge challenge and I feel I've gotten nowhere! Thats why we are hoping you all could be more helpful! Instead of getting "Hmmmm...I'm not sure, I think you need to call *****(It will be the same ppl that told me to call THEM!)"
Jim~ alot of ppl will pack chips and drinks and maybe the occasional sandwich that gets all soggy when ice melts in the cooler and the damn supposedly 'leak proof' ziplock just doesn't work quite as well as it does in the commercials! So, you either eat the soggy thing
or starve. Or you can do what my mother-in-law does and pack impractical boating food: "who wants some leftover salad and spaghetti?"
As crazy as my family seems ;) I got the concession idea after many discussions with friends with the same frustrations.
