John, I cannot tell you how much time I have spent pondering that question. At the moment, I like Poochie's char dog best, but that's partly because I like Poochie's fries so much, too. ... and Gold Coast, when it was on State Street, was unsurpassed. So you see how indecisive I am? Honestly, I don't know if there's a clear hierarchy among the best of the best.
I do agree that I am one lucky son-of-a-gun, having spent nearly all my life in Chicago and Connecticut, which are, with New Jersey, the Triumverate of Tube Steaks.
