The name of the ice cream company was Borden's Ice Cream, whose mascot was a comely cow named Elsie. The plastic popsicle sticks you are looking for were called Elsie Sticks
! I've been looking for Elsie sticks for a few months now, with no success. Borden's Ice Cream / Milk / Dairy is definitely a midwestern company. I grew up in northeastern Kentucky / southeastern Ohio (where I am now), and in my youthful summers (early 70s, "Big Red Machine" days), I'd beg my mom to buy Borden's just so I could have the Elsie sticks.
Good luck finding them - and if I run across any, I'll be sure and leave you a message.

Lately Ive been thinking about the old Popsicle Sticks that were made of plastic, were all different colors, and were interlockable with each other. Basically, you could build things with them, without having to use any kinds of glue.
For the Life of me, I can't remember the name of the company that made them. The Popsicles themselves were great, and I dont believe any other company made the plastic sticks but that one.
Does anyone remember the name of the popsicle company that had these? It was in the 70's I think....in Midwest America, well thats where we ate them anyway. lol
Id love to get some of these for my kids if they still make them.
Thanks in Advance!!
