One of my favorite
I was wondering ....
I was a huge
"Aunt Jemima" waffle fan.
Original & buttermilk.
Crisp & hot on the outside ....
Dense, moist & chewy inside ....
The way they'd absorb butter & real maple syrup Man
Then I bought a box recently & it was as if they were stale.
They were round like "Eggos" & really really hard -- like melbatoast.
I thought I'd just gotten a bad box so I bought another from a different supermarket and it was the same thing.
Did Quaker change the recipe ?
If so -- does anyone know why ?
I notice that "Thomas's" -- maker of the world's greatest
English muffins -- made waffles
but now they seem to've stopped.
Does anyone know what's going on with this, too ?
And I see Pillsbury's makin' 'em .
Any reports on those ?
