The trad. german Kartoffelsalat
is one of my fav. supplements for fried fish meals, also with Frikadellen (Meatballs), or with a Bockwurst, a Bratwurst, and a Currywurst.
My Grandma Alberta used to prepare the best Kartoffelsalat ever, her self-made mayonnaise, to top the Kartoffelsalat was absolutely delicious, ambrosia!
She always used a very small amount of sugar, to give the final "kick" into the Kartoffelsalat, after resting for 24 hours in the fridge, the Salat was served, her best Kartoffelsalat she prepared from the so called "New Potatoes", the very little potatos. This was heaven on earth!
