Re:Bakery Pizza in the Lehigh Valley?
I'm bumping this thread because I found another good source of bakery pizza in the Lehigh Valley; Malone's Bakery, in Allentown, at 1319 S. 4th Street.
It's another one of these places that's been around for 50 years and I just learned of it. I saw a small ad in a freebie newspaper that I I picked up last time I was out that way. I made a general food shopping trip today to the Allentown Farmers Market and stopped in.
Just a small old house-type place in a mostly industrial area. It pays to call at least a day ahead of time to order a whole pizza. Luckily I had checked with them a few days ago and learned the ropes.
No website, but they are on Facebook.
Exellent bakery pizza, $18 for a large tray of about 24 square slices. I bought the cheese version but you can also get a plain tomato (i.e. no cheese) tray as well. I ate one slice cold, but I have to say, this particular bakery pizza was much better heated up when I got home.
The lady there told me the pizzas are carried locally at a Supermarket called Valley Market, on W. Emmaus Ave. No website there either.
