We've been doing "Fresh Squeeze" Lemonades the last two summers off the side of the hd cart. At the regular weekend location (outlet mall) when it's hot we're doing pretty ok, at events we kick some serious butt. When it's hot the lemonade outsells the dogs significantly at the weekend spot.
In the fall we retire the lemonade when the sales drop to 20 a day on the weekends - then the dog sales seem to pick up.
We're serving lemonade into 32oz. clear plastic cups. We get 6 slices per lemon, we use 2 slices into a hand squeezer per cup and a teaspoon of sugar, ice, a leaf or two of fresh mint, into a 32oz rubbermaid shaker cup. (we do regular or strawberry made from whole frozen berries). We shake 5 or 10 times, we pour into the cup, cap it, hand the customer a paper wrapped straw, sell for $5. We refill for $4.
At events we use the smasher and shaker from lemonade business dot com, highly recommended - "it's all about the show"!
