BTW, commercial flour tortillas are not high in fat; not necessarily low calorie. I found this out from a webpage of a tortilla machine manufacturer, so as not to be accused of spamming!!
Flour tortillas are a low-fat food and contain iron along with other B vitamins. They have about 115 calories with 2 to 3 grams of fat per serving."
If you use chapatis, i.e. Indian whole wheat flat bread, they make delicious tortillas without any fat. Try them and experiment. They are made from chapati flour, a whole wheat durum flour, also know as atta. Just ground durum wheat, partially sifted. Water and atta flour, kneaded, rested, rolled, roasted. http://www.youtube.com/wa...bU&feature=related
no butter necessary at finish, purely optional http://www.youtube.com/wa...PE&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msCO2dgNjVU
