I Think this one's fairly new. The Ninja Professional Food Blender. Has anyone bought one? Please Report! http://ninjablender.org/
I think you might get a pretty good idea of its reliability by reading the comments at the bottom of the website listed. Nearly half of them are requests or comments about repair or replacement of parts that wore out. With a relatively new item, this should not be happening already. It sounds to me like it is not made to hold up well, so I would never buy one.
Recently both Sam's Club
have started to sell the Ninja
. As I'm happy with our Cuisinart, so we have no need for the Ninja which seems to be a very sturdy device.
But, as both wholesale clubs have a great "no questions" return policy I'd think that trying one of their Ninjas would be a no risk proposition.
Also, over the years I have noticed that neither company sells junk: the 12 piece heavy duty Kirkland tri-clad steel/copper cookware set we bought 10 years ago for $199 beats the crap out of All-Clad at a third the price; it is now available for $10 less than we paid then! It cooks VERY evenly and cleans up great with just soap, water, and a ScotchBrite pad. Do not confuse this with the "non-stick" crap.
