OK, CTF, so how do you do it?
First practice this way, get an old pan, cover the bottom with small gravel, really, then in a piston like motion with your hand flick the pan forward and up , pulling it back, to starting position flattened out. It's really easy, 10 practice flips you'll be good to go, confidence in the motion helps a bunch Ed!
PS. practice till you can get all the gravel to swap positions without going all over the place!
Pull the pan BACKWARDS , don't flip too high, try to keep an egg edge on the pan, move it forward to catch the egg, moving the pan down to soften the inpact with the pan, like catching a line drive, so you don't bust your hand, or the egg.
