We were at a loss for breakfast (NOTHING listed on Roadfood for Gainesville, what is up with that?) and found something on Yelp that when we arrived looked less than savory or even open for that matter. The 2nd option listed on Yelp was The Jones Eastside. We found the place in a strip mall, and although initially hesistant, we entered. We knew instantly we had selected the right place. The chalk board covered walls had drawings of food and tasty descriptions. We were seated at a table but then opted to move to the counter so we could watch the cooks. They chatted with us as we waited, praising our selections. We opted for the two specials, Apricot Cream Cheese French Toast and the Spinach Fritatta. We were not disappointed, and shared both meals, no syrup necessary. Our dishes were so tasty we opted for carrot cake and a chocolate peanut butter cupcake to go. We had mixed feelings on the carrot cake but the PBC was awesome! 401 NE 23rd Street, Gainesville, FL, add them to the Roadfood directory.
