Stehlin's is the perfect small town local butcher/meat market in a somewhat big city.
Now for the past 100 years you could get the freshest meat (butchered on site) raised by local farmers, the best choice cuts or custom cuts, fresh hams, sausages, goetta, and much more. http://www.stehlinsmeatmarket.com/
It all started because of a flood....
This SO Cincinnati Landmark would not be in business today if it weren't for the flood of 1913.
Stehlin was a walker/drover for the HUGE cattle and pork markets in Cincinnati (The reason they still call us "Porkopolis") however all the slaughter houses and such were located in a section of Cincinnati that was cut off by the flood waters of the great 1913 flood. Stehlin could not driver the beeves to market so he asked his boss to allow him to do the slaughtering and then went door to door selling the fresh meat and as they say "The rest is History."
The fourth generation Stehlin is running the show now, and the quality is still the same as when they first opened, only now they offer much more than just the fresh meat.
When I can i buy all my meat from there, and try to buy a 1/4 or 1/2 beef for the freezer or 1/2 pig too. http://news.cincinnati.co...0509/NEWS01/305090146/ http://www.local12.com/ne..._Go6UqeMCFDJP9EWA.cspx
