wyldegeese, welcome to Roadfood and to the Forums!

Not sure if there has been one before but this might be a good opportunity for you to throw some ideas out there to see who might be interested.  Suggest a few potential dates.  List some places that you think would be good stops on a food crawl/meet-up and see who might be interested.  If you're looking to do a one-day meet-up, keep the places with close enough that the attendees don't spend a big chunk of the day in the car going from place to place.  Maybe throw in a museum, walk through a beautiful park/garden in the area or other non-food point of interest to mix it up a bit and gives folks time to digest at during the tour.  If you want any assistance with logistics, I'd be happy to help.

I just received a pm from Mike S

We do have monthly meetups (but were on hold for most of the winter) however they are held in Southern New England, mostly in MA with occasional get togethers in RI and CT. If you send me a PM, I can add you to our e-mail list.

I'm thinking of traveling into New England in June 2016 after the Pittsburgh Crawl. I would be hitting NYC, Boston, NH, Vt and taking the ferry from Portland, Maine to Nova Scotia. Lets see what others come up with in what, where, when and how................Welcome to Roadfood.............pnwc

Hi! Portland would make a fantastic, if overwhelming, food crawl!

Thanks for the welcome! Some ideas - Portland ME - classics, ethnic, seafood; Maine seafood shacks; unique Maine eats; Vermont wine, beer, cheese; NNE maple tours...list is pretty endless!

Welcome to Roadfood!  I lived in MA (Boston mostly) for 14 years and New England is truly a gem!  Lots and lots of great food, scenery, beaches, etc.  A crawl of Portland would be wonderful.
