going to see chris noth in american buffalo this saturday...any lunch or dinner recommendations for a semi-quick meal? thanks beth

    It was.

    I know it isn't Alice's Restaurant anymore (actually, it wasn't the name of the restaurant, just the name of the song about the restaurant.)

    I'm not sure if there was a railroad track, but the restaurant was around the back, near the hotel.

    There was an officer Obie (Obanheim)... He died in 1994 ... he is the officer sitting at the lunch counter next to the kid in the Norman Rockwell picture. http://www.arlo.net/pictures/runaway.jpg

    All that said, I don't have a restaurant suggestion.

    The Red Lion Inn is pretty nice. Historical too. I ate there last summer when I went up to tour the Norman Rockwell museum.
